The Lion and The Turkey

by Charles Wetmore November 13, 2015

Once upon a time, a lion was enjoying a fine bottle of Cascade Mountain's Coeur de Lion when a turkey came along and said, "What's that your drinking?," to which the lion replied, "I'm drinking Coeur de Lion." The turkey thought about that for a minute and then said, "I guess the good news is that you are not eating breast of a turkey while sipping your Coeur de Lion" The lion thought about that for a moment and said, "Yes, but I will be soon!"

We're currently shipping Coeur de Lion, the perfect red wine to sip with turkey, in 2 packs, 4 packs, 6 packs, and cases. Coeur de Lion, aka Lion Heart, is a medium bodied red reminiscent of the Regional or Village wines of Burgundy. Supple round berry flavors sharpened by good acidity produce a well balanced wine with a velvety smooth finish. Just the right wine to accompany a hearty turkey.

Order by Thursday, November 19th to receive delivery by Wednesday the 24th.

Or drop by the winery this weekend or next between 11:00 and 5:00.  We will be sampling different local cheeses and whiskeys each day at the tasting bar, along with all 7 of our wines.

See you on the mountain!
